This module explores the science of corporate identity—personality, storytelling, symbols, logos, colours, semiotics, and design systems—teaching students how consistent visual communication shapes a corporation’s image, messaging, and long-term brand coherence.

DIGITAL STUDIOS I: ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR

This module introduces Adobe Illustrator, covering essential tools, shapes, colours, typography, and 3D effects. Across ten sessions, students learn to create scalable vector graphics and build a showcase-ready design portfolio.

This module teaches brand fundamentals, guiding students to define identity, craft stories and messages, and plan cross-platform communication, culminating in a presentation that links brand meaning to real-world visibility and impact.

This module teaches UI design fundamentals using Figma, covering real-world website interfaces, design processes, layouts, components, colour and typography choices, enabling students to create streamlined, effective interfaces across various sectors.

This module teaches essential to advanced Adobe Photoshop skills for image editing, retouching, effects, and photo enhancement, integrating raster and vector graphics to create compelling visuals and prepare students for professional creative practice.

This module covers packaging design principles, from concept to 3D form, including structure, materials, production, sustainability, and visual elements, equipping students to create impactful, market-aware packaging that influences consumer perception and decisions.

This hands-on module guides students from scripting and storyboarding to producing a 15–30s product commercial, teaching video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro, including sound, colour, graphics, captions, and social-ready exports.

This module develops critical and creative thinking, teaching students to frame problems, question assumptions, generate ideas, and refine solutions using structured frameworks and hands-on techniques for clear, original responses to real-world briefs.

This module teaches advanced social media strategy, focusing on audience analysis, channel-agnostic planning, paid/owned/earned tactics, dashboard tracking, and problem-solving, culminating in a polished strategy deck and live client-style pitch.

This module guides students in exploring visual communication design—integrating elements, principles, composition, and media through practical and theoretical processes—to understand its purpose, function, problem-solving role, and contemporary practices.

This module covers digital marketing fundamentals, including SEO, SEM, web analytics, email and mobile marketing, buyer journeys, and ethical/legal considerations, equipping students to design, execute, and analyze effective, compliant, and impactful campaigns.

GENERATIVE AI CONTENT CREATION

This module develops mastery of leading generative-AI tools, prompt-engineering, multimodal asset creation, versioning and brand control, culminating in a mini AI social-media campaign showcasing each student’s complete workflow, stylistic consistency and export-ready content.

This module covers the theory and practice of typography—history, anatomy, principles, layout, aesthetics, and type selection—emphasizing how typographic elements shape clarity, mood, and visual impact in contemporary communication design.

M.A.D. INTEGRATED CAMPAIGN PROJECT

The MAD Integrated Campaign Project is a capstone module where students independently conceptualize, develop, and execute a comprehensive advertising and design campaign, culminating in a final presentation that simulates real-world client defense of strategies and creative work.

FUNDAMENTALS OF PHOTOGRAPHY

The technical skills needed to operate a DSLR camera in manual mode will then be taught through theoretical and practical means, giving students the trust and confidence to operate a professional camera.

What is light; what is light in photography? Students who go through this module will fully understand the effects of light and how it can create or destroy.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Singaporean:

  1. Applicants are to be aged 16 or above when applying

  2. GCE 'O' Level with minimum 3 credits (C6) or equivalent

  3. GCE 'N' Level with minimum of C6 for English or equivalent

  4. Applicants not meeting the entry requirements will need to undergo an interview
