COURSE INTRODUCTION
The Specialist Diploma in UI/UX Design will equip students with a strong fundamental skill set in visual literacy, technical executions and design software competency. With a strong foundational pillar in place, students are able to make better decisions before execution; having strong technical skills in design software used by professionals and create / design experiences for the real world. This course is targeted at aspiring uiux designers, with or without prior design experience, where exposure to industry workings, interaction, consultations and hands-on assignments will fully prepare students for the interface design world.

MODULES

ADVANCED CRITICAL THINKING
Creatives work in a fast pace environment and face many tough problems – problems that require them to solve critically and creatively while addressing users context.

USER INTERFACE DESIGN I
The User Interface Design I module introduces students to the theory and practical interface design for web design applications through the use of Figma.

DIGITAL STUDIOS I (ILLUSTRATOR)
This module dives into the world of Adobe Illustrator, a leading vector design software. Whether you're an aspiring graphic designer or someone curious about creating digital art, this course is for you.

USER INTERFACE DESIGN II
The User Interface Design II module introduces students to the theory and practical interface design for mobile design applications through the use of Adobe XD.h the use of Adobe XD.

DIGITAL STUDIOS II (PHOTOSHOP)
This module introduces students to the professional practice and experts’ choice of digital image editing, manipulation and photo retouching tools for graphic design and multimedia with Adobe Photoshop.

VISUAL COMMUNICATION
Allows students to explore and embark on their creative journey to discover and cultivate what it takes to become a successful visual communication designer.

USER EXPERIENCE (UX) DESIGN
Everything a designer does affects user experience. From the addition of bold lines, or the omitting of a pop up box, there is no such thing as 'non communication'.

UIUX PROJECT PRACTICUM
In the UIUX Project Practicum, students embark on their final journey of a UIUX designer and will be required to integrate all they have learnt within an industry-sourced project or a self-initiated project.
